Our experience of resolving complex housing problems gives us a valuable insight in to the practical application of housing law.

If you work with clients who encounter housing or related problems and would like to improve your understanding of housing issues contact us to discuss our training services.  We provide training to community groups and statutory services in Greenwich and the surrounding areas.  These agencies reach our target groups and in training their staff we improve their ability to identify potential housing problems and refer those clients on for specialist help.

Our training programme is accredited with the Solicitors Regulation Authority. It meets CPD requirements and can easily be tailored to suit your training needs.

We have recently provided training for AdviceUK, Luton Law Centre, Housing 4 Women, Greenwich Community Advice Network Members and the Which? Money Helpline.

Our training modules cover:

  • An introduction to housing law and security of tenure.
  • County Court procedure for possession claims.
  • Tactics for defending possession claims.
  • Interviewing, negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Homelessness and Allocations law in practice.

We also work with local specialists in Welfare Benefits, Debt and Employment law and can adapt our training modules to cover these areas.

GHR also gives informal presentations to smaller community groups and charities free of charge.  For larger charities or businesses we offer our training services at competitive rates.
